Hello, My name is Janice, welcome to my Wade, family and friends website. I live in the in the county of Cheshire in the UK. I have one daughter Hayley who I am very proud of and a wonderful Mum. I also have a precious ruby King Charles Cavalier Spaniel named Robbie. Robbie is eleven now but he is still a little rascal. I love taking him for walks but he is always at least six feet ahead of me. He has never quite grasped the idea that it is meant to be me taking him for a walk! Robbie is a huge part of my life and brings me lots of happiness, I can't imagine life without him. My best friend in the whole world is Keith. We have been friends for thirty six years and he has also become a Wade enthusiast. Keith particularly likes the large nursery figures but his favourite are the Felix pieces. I feel very lucky that I have been blessed with such precious people and pets in my life. I love relaxing listening to my favourite music i.e. Stevie Wonder, George Benson, Whitney Houston as you will see as you browse. My favourite pastimes are swimming, gardening, reading, tennis, 'trying' to keep fit and using the computer. I enjoy watching murder mysteries especially CSI, Law & Order, The FBI Files Without A Trace, the list goes on! I also love to eat out as I am a hopeless cook!

I began to collect Wade in August 2005 and joined the International Wade Collectors Club in 2006. I have so much Wade packed away in boxes due to lack of space I thought having my own website would be the next best thing to display my collection. I began my website on 16th January 2007 and I hope you enjoy browsing through it. I have quite a large collection of Wade now and once you start collecting it is very addictive. I bought my first piece a gingerbread man whimsie from a lovely lady named Brenda who has a shop on eBay called Brenda's Whimsical World. Brenda has since become a good friend and we keep intouch by email, phone, birthday and Christmas cards.

I joined the Yahoo! Wade Whimsie Group in March 2006 and I have got to know lots of lovely Wade collectors and sellers. It is an interesting group where you can learn lots of facts about Wade and the history of it. A part of the group I particularly like is looking at the members photograph albums as they have lots of superb pieces in them. I love to learn about the Wade that you can get more readily in the US than you can in the UK. The group has helped me alot because I now know people who sell Wade in the US and I have bought some beautiful pieces from them. I have not only bought Wade from eBay but also from sellers in the group that have become friends. I am really enjoy going to the UK Wade fairs in Stoke, Arundel and Dunstable. I am hoping to be able to go to the US fairs in the future but at the moment I won't leave Robbie.
