We had a lovely time at the Dunstable Fair on the 23rd September. The photograph above is of the hotel where we stayed. The hospitality and the food were excellent. The meal at the nightime was a sumptuous buffet and included, fresh salmon, roast beef and all the trimmings, a really good variety and there was plenty of it. It was lovely to see people again that we had met at the Arundel Fair and also meet new people. There was also a murder mystery weekend event for a group of other people who were in fancy dress. Certain parts of the hotel were a little creepy so it added to the atmosphere. The evening started with a quiz but we didn't do too well in that, we only managed to get nine of the sixteen questions right. We were seated at the same table as Nina and Richard Wilson(goodswade) Richard is a real character and kept everyone laughing. We also spent time talking to Mandy and Stephen Foster who sell Wade on eBay, that was nice too. Richard won the bingo prize which was two of the Red Rose Tea Squirrels one silver and the other gold. A member of the group had one too many brandys and stumbled, luckily he didn't hurt himself but he couldn't call the bingo numbers out(lol)

The next day at the fair was amazing, there were so many beautiful pieces. Just to mention a few we saw some beautiful money banks, decanters, prototypes and unusual colourway whimsies. We met Alan and Dorothy(dotswade) who I have bought quite a few pieces from in the past. I had previously bought a C&S Gold Van Money Bank and a Mr Town Mouse for Keith from them on eBay so we were able to get those as well. They are a really nice couple. We spent far too much money as usual Keith bought the 'Tophat' Felix, two Felix T-shirts (one for me) two Felix Keyrings, Happy Family Mice(yellow tails) Happy Family Mice(pink tails) and a prototype mouse. I bought the Jet-Set Gingie Bear, Tetley Special Gaffer Money Bank Ltd Ed 75, Snowman, Snowoman and Snow Children, Snowman and Santa Tiny Treasures, Happy Family Rabbits, Irish porcelain figure and a Shamrock Cottage. The photographs below are of some of the pieces we bought. We are now looking forward to the Arundel Christmas Bonanza.
